| The START - It was RAINING!! |

| Runners were able to drop their baggage off at the baggage trucks at
the start area and these were transported to the finish area for pick up after the race. |
Runners were assigned to one of two starting points, London Road and
Regent Road. Runners were headed round Holyrood Park, along Queens
Drive to
London Road The route carried on down Lochend Road, through Leith,
towards the coast before heading along to Musselburgh then the fishing
areas of Cockenzie and Port Seton.
Next, runners pass through the grounds of Gosford House. Finally, the
last stretch takes runners back along the coast to Port Seaton promenade
before finishing at
Musselburgh Racecourse.
The Cut Off time for the Edinburgh Marathon was 6 Hours 30 Minutes....

| Over 16,000 runners
took part in the Edinburgh Event. There was also the option of entering relay teams of 4 runners, each running 6.5 miles. |

Hydration
Stations were positioned approximately 5kms apart. Bottles of
Strathmore Water and High5 EnergyGels were also available.
