Marathon No.92 - Giants Head Marathon

The naked farmer in bathtub... and his Wife!

Watermelon and cider at the aid stations...

The course was long at 28 miles, due to last minute diversion.

Breathtaking (literally) scenery!

Fabulous offroad running in beautiful Dorset, but better train for hills... lots of hills (11 to be exact!).

Very well signed route, very difficult to get lost. Very challenging with 6,000ft of climb, but worth every step (there's lots of downhill too!) Would heartily recommend the Giants Head Marathon. Not for the faint-hearted but with a generous 8 hour cut-off ideal for all levels of marathoner.

Slightly on the warm side, but I guess you can't have everything.

Water & food stations and the excellent Love Station at Mile 21

The goodies at the end seriously put other events to shame - Tech T-Shirt. Pint Glass with Logo. and excellent quality Medal!
Didn't camp myself but heard it was good. There's also a bar, BBQ and a barn dance after the race. Great supporting cast of locals with a great selection of cakes and tea!

This race is without doubt one of the best organised races I've ever done and offers excellent value for money....do it!
This race has it all and a rude medal (snigger snigger)

Official FINISH time : 7 Hours, 4 Minutes & 38 Seconds
